Here you have a free vBulletin style 3.8.2 version inspired by Microsoft’s OS “Windows 7″. An easy to navigate and clean skin, ideal for computer support forums, Gadgets and Tech boards and so on…

It’s completely fluid and will collapse down to 600 pixels and expand to larger sizes for various viewing options!.

This version is easy to navigate as all other versions have been in the past, but it has a few more details than older versions. The statistics section gives you more details on active users, and gives you an idea of how active and busy your forum is.

Collapsable categories make it easy for you to focus on only certain parts if you don’t want to see the entire forum. This makes it easy if you just want to see forum categories and not forum statistics or vice versa.

This version is great for anyone just starting out, or anyone familiar with the vBulletin style forum.

How To: Include some entries from vb on non vb pages

As Admin of a vBulletin based board i’m used to edit the pages (or templates) generated into the board itselfs but if i need to edit a non vBulletin page including any info from a vBulletin one then things become a bit complicated. That’s due vBulletin uses some internal “vars” that not always can be executed directly out the forum. Today looking to add on our home page the “New Listings at OnlineWebMarket” field with latest posts made just on the market section I learned the how, just follow the thread located on OUR FORUM ;)

Morega’s curious Qew may or may not eventually stream your media

Call us skeptical, but we're not so sure that Morega's Qew is anything more than a mere figment of someone's imagination. The outfit has a thing for showing up just before CES in an apparent attempt to drum up interest, but the outfit's Qew teaser site just screams vaporware. We're never actually shown what it is, though we're told that it can stream, archive, transport and share multimedia. Hmm, sounds a lot like the abilities of some other box we know of.

[Thanks, Mark]

My Kindergarten Niece Tells Me About Her Mom’s ‘New Phone’ [Stories]

"My mom got a new phone," my niece tells me out of the blue.
"Neat, what kind of phone?"
"A button phone," she replies.
"A button phone?"

"Like grandpa has," she explains.
"Oh, an iPhone!" I realize, pulling my own iPhone out for her to confirm.
"Yes, like that one. But in white."

It was an interesting revelation, especially when I later found out that my sister uses a pink RAZR. Note to self: get sis a better phone next Christmas and never trust my niece again.

Google Earth Leads Scientists to Undiscovered Forest, Brand New Species [Google Earth]

Google Earth is fantastic, but this might be its most amazing feat yet: A scientist stumbled across an unknown green patch that turned out to be an unexplored forest home to brand new undiscovered species.

Julian Bayliss was looking around Google Earth for a new conservation project when he came across patches of green in Mozambique that appeared to be previously unexplored. Sure enough, those green patches were "7,000 hectares of forest, rich in biodiversity" that had been left untouched by scientists thanks to minor blips like miserable terrain and constant civil war.

An expedition launched in the fall to Mount Mabu discovered three new species of butterflies, a new Gaboon viper than can kill a human in a single bite, along with all kinds of other wildlife, like 200 types of butterflies and tropical plants, all in a matter of weeks.

The expedition leader, Jonathan Timberlake, says that this could just be the beginning—Google Earth might help scientists find other undiscovered pockets of biodiversity in areas like Mozambique and Papua New Guinea that haven't been fully explored. I've got my fingers crossed for hobbits and Big Foot. [Telegraph - Thanks Adam!]
